According to "For Sale Childhood", it is easy to smuggle women and girls across the 1,740 mile long border between Nepal and India. Brothel owners make the process even smoother by bribing police officials into ignoring the situation. Many of the girls are as young as 9 and unaware that they are being sold into a life of prostitution.
