B. Hinnenberg Post # 3
SOLD by Patricia McCormick has many different types of tones. For example Mumtaz is a very angry person and the tone that she has is angry. Other tones that the book has is somber and imformative because all the places that Lakshmi has gone, she does a well job of describing what is around her. It's very sad at the same time. When Lakshmi is at the train station, I could really see what she was looking at because of all the descritive words that are in the book. The book's details is showing someone that if they were there then they would see the same things as she did. All of writing in the book is short and have many different tones. Like how she felt very safe with her Auntie and then she was with this Uncle husband and she flet safe with him. She knew that she would be safe to be with a man. Also the book is written in a poem form.
