According to NewsMax.com, an estimated 30,000 victims of sex trafficking die each year from abuse, disease, torture, and neglect. Eighty percent of those sold into sexual slavery are under 24, and some are as young as six years old.
These girls are being sold into sex trafficking, at a very early age. A photograph such as this one puts things into perspective for us and helps us realize that there are very horrible things going on outside of our small community, which makes something such as this, seem next to impossible.
